Treatments for females

The easiest treatment for female sexual dysfunction is Addyi which comes in the form of a pill that is taken daily. This treatment is noninvasive and low cost but women who are being treated with Addyi see noticeable improvements. There are some side effects of this medication that include low blood pressure, lightheadedness, and fainting. The drug should start to work in a matter of weeks but if you don’t experience a benefit and an increased sex drive doctors reccomend not taking Addyi for more than eight weeks. If the drug will work with your particular body chemistry it will work inside that first eight week window. 

There is another drug used to treat female sexual dysfunction called Female Viagra in Australia. This is a more invasive treatment for female sexual dysfunction that involves getting the drug through an injection. Bremelanotide (Vyleesi) is injected directly into the abdomen or thigh around 45 minutes before sex. It is meant to be taken no more than once a day and it has some potential side effects such as nausea, vomiting and irritation at the injection site.
